Brain Toolkit
We explore supplements specifically in the context of ADHD — looking for evidence about whether particular ingredients or products may support areas like attention, focus, motivation, energy, stress, sleep, or general wellbeing.
We don't just read about supplements. We explore the evidence.
This isn't a list of miracle cures or recommendations. We investigate, compare the evidence, document what we learn, and clearly separate scientific evidence from personal experience and uncertainty. Something that seemed helpful to one person isn't automatically effective for everyone — and something popular isn't automatically backed by good research.
ADHD doesn't look the same for everyone, and people can have overlapping experiences or other conditions alongside ADHD. Where relevant, we'll also explore research around areas such as anxiety, sleep difficulties, and OCD-related symptoms — without assuming that everyone with ADHD has them, or that one condition causes another.
I'm not a doctor. I'm not a scientist. I'm someone with ADD/ADHD trying to understand my own brain and find what the evidence actually says about supplements that may be worth researching.
"If I can help even one person, then I have made a difference."
This is the heart of the Brain Toolkit
This is not a medical website. Nothing here diagnoses, treats, or cures ADHD. Every entry separates personal experience from scientific evidence from honest uncertainty — always consult a qualified healthcare professional before starting any supplement.
A New Feature Every Month
One supplement in the spotlight every month.
We share first-hand experiences, explore the available research, and explain what we still don't know. No miracle promises — just honest observations to help you ask better questions and make informed choices.

Foundation First
Before I try to boost focus, I look after the basics.
In my own tracking, when I feel sluggish or my thinking slows down, looking after how my body handles the basics seems to go hand in hand with that heavy mental fog easing. This is my observation, not a medical claim.
These two play a part in my routine. They feel like they support my overall baseline and help quiet the constant mental chatter and overwhelm. That's my personal experience only.
I've found that paying attention to how my body handles what I take makes a noticeable difference to whether a supplement feels effective or just passes through me.
High stress and burnout clearly drain my energy. From trial and error, getting a steady baseline first seems to give brain-targeted supplements a better chance of feeling worthwhile.
"My approach: get the foundation right first, then see what the focus supplements do for me. Everyone's different."
Personal observations from my own journey, not medical advice. Always speak to a healthcare professional before starting any supplement.
This page will keep growing.
New items get added as I discover and try them. If my opinion on something changes — for better or worse — I'll update it here. Being honest about what didn't work is just as important as sharing what did.
